I am a young photographer originally from the Fens in Cambridgeshire, where the landscape is as flat as the beer and the North East was a grim place where people ate coal dipped in Broon Ale. You could say I wasn’t prepared for what the North East is all about. Four years later I think I understand, drive 10 miles out of the vibrant and modern city centre and you can be bang in the middle of some of the most breathtaking scenery anywhere in the country, from lush green woodlands to wild moorland where the wind can chill you to the bone. But at its heart are a warm and generous people who are very quickly making a Geordie out of me… pet. It’s in this environment that I’m continuously developing my own unique style of landscape photography, with some recognisable subjects seen in a new light and some hidden local treasures that can never be taken for granted.
Thank you for looking at my gallery, I hope you enjoy looking at these photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them.*
