wandering the world, trying to find my way…recently gave up my (excellent) gear & occupation as a photographer to chase a bigger dream; its been a learning experience & im adjusting, but i really do miss my collection of equipment (miss my lenses the most!) & taking photos. for me, not only was photography a way to earn a living, (paltry, as it is these days) it was a way to escape and find peace behind the lens…
i love: my niece, my sister, my parents, water, beaches, animals, archeology, sun, exotic places, exploring the world & new cultures, eating anything from the garden or sea, music, humor, museums, text messaging, swimming, chocolate, modern technology, coffee, entertaining, road trips, art, romance, singing outloud when im alone, typing in lower case, cooking, poetry, children, sailing, honesty, the smell of fresh cut grass, books/reading, debating politics, rock climbing, smoking, run on sentences, long meaningful talks, boats, good wine, diving, and of course photography.
i don’t love: shopping, cruelty to or neglect of animals, airplane food & economy seating, lies, ironing, violence, seeing my niece unhappy, fear, vandalism, perfect grammar/punctuation/spelling (or at least being told i should use it), pity, thoughtlessness, arrogance, traffic, cleaning the bathroom, talking on the phone, cold weather, dry skin, and the smell of raw meat.
living and working on a breathtakingly beautiful ionian island off the west coast of greece. originally from chicago, illinois, usa (i get back to the states about 3 or 4 times a year). i have lived on 3 continents, in 4 countries and several states in the u.s.a. i guess i’m just a modern day gypsy.
experienced and published in sports, travel/lifestyle & newspaper periodicals. portfolio also includes weddings, journalism, child & adult portraits. public exhibition at musee de l’elysee, switzerland, feb.-may ‘07.
