Hope For Spring

Snow, snow, go away
Don’t come back ’till
After Thanksgiving Day!

All the months have
Come and gone-
Since that first flake
Tumbled down.

I am tired of feeling low-
Like I cannot make it
Past the glow….
Of the candles
Turning so cold.

My bones, they ache-
My head does too.
But, what else can a
Person do?

If the warm sun doesn’t play
I think under my coverlet
I’ll stay, and stay…..and stay.
Maybe I can hope someday-
Spring will come again my way.
