Shilo Battle Re-Enactment by

My youngest son, Byron(age 26) is active in the Civil War re-enacting with other volunteer actors in various brigades/units in Alabama, Tennessee, and many other States. We also have several units here in Ohio. They re-enact different battles of the Civil War for spectators, and also do living histories for events. It is all period authentic and every detail must be met to the highest degree possible. It is a very elaborate, well orchestrated skill which these folks work their hardest to convey the true essence of the actual period of time and trueness of the event. No nonsense here, at all. They enjoy doing it and are truly dedicated people. If you ever get the chance to see a re-enactment, please DO so, the whole family can go and it is VERY well worth your while to see the battle, the peddlers, the food, the costumes and talk with these folks—a lot of teaching goes on at these events, also. Enjoy! My son is the one sitting down enjoying an apple.

    Great capture Bea, nice composition

  • Thanks so very much! So happy you like it!—It is really quite something to behold as events go. Even have ground percussions (sounds like the cannons are hitting their marks) very dramatic.——Hugzzzzz—-Bea :D))XXXXXXX
