My name is Eve M. Marshall. I am originally from the UK and then moved to the US in 1989 and I have lived in Colorado for 21 years after following a dream I had when I was 14 and after watching the movie, “The Unsinkable Molly Brown”, I fell in love with the Rocky Mountains. Now more than 20 years later I am still here, living in Colorado. I’m married and have 4 boys, 2 dogs and a guardian angel. I became an Artist after the death of my Dad in December 2005, trying to find a way to heal I put pencil to paper. After joining a network of art sites and gaining friends learning to refine my art I met Rich Nauman who taught me to ‘look outside the box’ and see what else I could do. He taught me how to be an Editor, then I became a Journalist, a Web Administrator and Designer I am an Art Teacher for orangearts.ning and now I am learning to do Sci-Fi Illustrations for scifialamanac.ning, for where I am a Proof-reader and Coordinator. I have gained new interests NASA, space, science and meteorology. I love trying out new things and my thirst for knowledge would make my parents proud. If not for the challenges that have been put on my plate, I would not have got this far. I have been shown that I can do anything I want, and I can be good at it. Good friends online have helped me develop in areas that I thought were not worth the time to bother about and they have made me step out of my safety zone.
My best friend, Richard Nauman, passed away on July 7th 2009. It was a hard blow for me. Rick taught me a lot. He took the place of my own Dad and he saw that I was “giving up” and pushed me harder to expand my horizons, even giving me a new life motto to live by, " Tell me I can’t, and I will show you I can". So I will honor his memory, I will keep going, For myself and for my friends.
