Drink Driving

The man was in a car crash,
Glass went through his skull.
They said he died on impact,
In Kingston upon Hull

The driver of the car was speeding.
She’d had a drop to drink.
Her reactions were slower,
She was finding it hard to think.

The family of the dead man,
Charged the driver and sued.
The driver pleaded guilty,
In the chaos that ensued.

The moral of this poem is,
Do not drink and drive.
Although it may be fun at first,
You’ll end up paying with lives.
