“the yellow budgie had escaped from the avery. Everyone was searching the backyard but Spike was standing still. My brother Peter noticed tail feathers protruding from Spike’s mouth! He opened up the dog’s mouth and there was Yellow Budgie peaking out at him, alive! Yellow budgie went back to the avery but died 3 days later – of fright!”
