song of silent protest

i think most people will be able to relate to this, each in their own and personal way.
too often we let silence into our hearts, when we should be letting our voice free.
too often we hide our own light, so that the light of others may shine brighter, not considering our own loss. we all have talents. we all have voices.
now we must take that step forward into the light, and show the world that we all have a voice.

too long have i let silence into my heart
too long has it dwelt in its dark and narrow house
spinning cobwebs to choke my voice
and still my protest

now i must step forward
and free myself from the silence
i once welcomed as a friend

you are such an amazing writer, in that you are able to condense deep concepts into
a song, thus raising your voice in the end.. for something that is no longer needed
or something no longer required.. brilliantly written my friend

spinning cobwebs to choke my voice
and still my protest....oh this made my heart stir. I got chills. Yes, many can relate….but I am glad to say that I’ve left this behind. Powerful words, they echo in my mind long after I’ve read them.
