brushes gently against mine
like the kiss
of autumn leaves
drifting gently
to the waiting
ground
so light and fleeting
in its momentary passing
i wonder if we touched
at all
the faint memory
lingers
warm evanescence
upon my skin
transient touch
wells forth
burning
bright lucidity
an iridescent blush
of mercurial consciousness
crackles
like
smooth static
as
dawn light streams
through a half-opened window
and spills
onto white linen
and ivory skin
