new world

hills rise from the plain -
like vertebrae
they arch and buckle
breaching their earthen constraints -
straining towards
the cold clear
daylight

the rich soil
cloying and damp
hides their secret hearts
deep beneath
the earth

theirs is
an eon-long labour
a titanic struggle
to bring to light
the birth
of a new world

    an eon-long labour
    a titanic struggle
    to bring to light
    the birth
of a new world....this is amazing….I can see the earth cracking open and give to light and freedom….Again, inspiring writing, my friend.

Thanks, my friend. I was supposed to be writing an English essay, but instead I wrote this poem. It’s one of my ‘two-minute creations’.

I hope this is really happening on some level – the birth of a new world – maybe that’s why there is so much chaos – a crossover happening. So well expressed.

  • Jordan Busson replied

Wow, Plum. I really can relate to what you’ve said. Interesting idea… Thank you for your words ;)
