doctrine and dogma
are cannibalized
recombined
reabsorbed
recycled religion
cast down
is the trident
the lightning
the Pantheon
is fallen
from Olympus’
snow-clad slopes
fallen from the minds
of the people
hollow bells toll
sepulchral silences
in the once-hallows
of cold halls
where hollow men
once gathered
in somber Sacrament
where eternal flames
cease to burn
in perpetual
light-giving
Babylon is fallen

Yes the cycle keeps repeating my friend, albeit with variations on a theme.Yet each claims to be true and divine and many gather myriad devotees. I think the need for this is a very “Human” thing…........

Indeed, my friend. It is our stories that make us human. Anthropomorphism has not changed, merely the divine manifestations. Anthropogenic theogenesis, really.
