taste of strawberries
dipped in chocolate
persimmons and snow
autumn evenings
crisp with frost
and crystal springs
that flow
beneath the moon
and star-speckled sky
in the foothills
of lofty mountains
in unexplored lands
inked on atlases
and old maps
drawn by hand
they are threaded silver
and worth more than gold
they are a light in the darkness
and a compass to lead me home
they are all the world
and everything:
the universe
and pin-point wheeling stars
they are hopes
and dreams
and memories
and they tell me who you are
