Hi guys – just read something on here so needed to ask the question – did anyne else realsie that if you’d placedyour work on redbubble it can no longer be published as in effect is already has been by being on here….

let me know your thoughts….

    untrue u hold the right to publish your writing, and redbubble only copyrights it as apart of it’s group. u can remove your writing at anytime

    They don’t own anything of mine Hala. I can publish my work any time I see fit.

    Well, that will depend on the publisher of course.

    If you self-publish your book (by Lulu or Blurb, or a paid for self-publishing) that’s fine.

    Some book publishers may not purchase a book to publish from a writer if it’s been net-published for (ie on redbubble) for free reading, some will have no problems with it.

    If you are a writer represented by a publisher or agent, then you need to check with them concerning that sort of thing.

    Hmm,I agree with Gracey above. My theory is don’t net release any literature you are looking at professionally publishing. Having a book published is a difficult enough process. The last thing one would want to hear is “great book, but sorry we can’t publish it”. Better to refrain. Net publish other works. Though I am no professional. Tis Just my view.
