What fun this one is! It’s definitely has the WOW factor! Bright blocks of color comprise the textured background, contrasted against the even brighter flowers in the foreground. Wonderful addition to any room, but might be especially nice in a nursery, child’s bedroom, or a teen’s room. Wild fun colors. Movement – as if the flowers are about to dance around and say, “Hello”!
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………….This piece is done in pastel and watercolor and then enhanced digitally to intensify the colors. Everything is hand-painted. The swirls and twirls on the straight blocks make for a nice contrast as does the juxtaposition of very different and unrelated colors. Put all together, the painting is engaging, interesting, bright, and joyful. It’s the kind of art piece that makes the viewer smile when he or she passes by.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………….Abstract art is meant to make the viewer “feel.” Sometimes, abstract or contemporary art has an emphasis on color and very little attention to anything realistic in form. However, some pieces can be tagged as “abstract realism.” The artist takes a realistic (organic) form and presents it in an un-natural, or unrealistic form. In art, this form is called “geometric.” This image is classic geometric form – it even has the geometric squares (smile)! It is unrealistic in that it has stems and petals that swirl. That might not exist in a realistic world, but isn’t it nice to imagine such flowers in a fantasy world? I’m sure that Alice in Wonderland saw a few.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………….This is a fun and happy piece.
