Excellent watercolour study of tree barks. Looks like silver birch. I saw my second red squirrel (in 50 years) in a tree, in Harthope valley, by the burn. Wonderful!!! Unfortunately some irresponsible idiot, introduced the destructive American grey into the country. Which are vermin and carry disease. they out compete the indigenous red squirrel. So the Northumberland nation park, is one of the few places, where the little red can survive.
Thanks Colin, they also inhabit Brownsea Island off the Dorset coast near Poole.
