This gorgeous hustler is a Rainbow Lorikeet and resides at Longleat Safari Park :-) For £1 you can take a cup of nectar and just let them come and chat to you and sit on you and they even hang around when it’s gone. There’s no aggression and they just chat to you when it’s all over. Love ’em.

Longleat Safari Park, Wiltshire, UK.

    Woooohooooo!!!!!!! Amazing and gorgeous!!!!
    (and they sound so friendly!)

  • They really are! While I doubt owning a Lori is legal, I would love to have the space and time for a cockateil… not close in colours but still as affectionate. :-)

    lol! I’ll take two:)
We’re lucky to have them everywhere in Queensland, Australia.
I’ve a flock that arrive for morning tea and an afternoon snack everyday.
They hang upside down off my tree fern and get stuck into the necter in my Drunken Parrot tree, get sozzled, get loud, fight, get amorous and eventually fall out of the tree lol!
Just like having a bird pub in your garden lol!

  • Shanina, that sounds amazing :-D I remember seeing my first Lori in Australia, either in Cairns or in the Rainforest habitat (walkthrough encounter) somewhere near Port Douglas, they really are wonderful. Needless to say I always make sure I go see them in Jurong Bird Park whenever I am in Singapore. Now I know that we have them in Longleat though, I am REALLY happy…. slightly cheaper to get to and closer, lol. Drunken Parrot tree not only sounds funny it really is a cracking name for a pub!!! :-D

lol! Never thought of it that way but it would be a cool name…it’s a lovely flowering tree and the parrots adore the nectar..they really do get sloshed and fall out of the tree, have to be careful walking under it sometimes, or else you’ll get hit with a pissed parrot lol!

  • haha, awesome :-):-)

Super shot of this beauty Ellis, best wishes, Mark.

  • Thanks Mark, it’s possibly the same one although I am not sure, as the Facebook exclusive image that I posted :-) Next time I go, I shall try to get a video without me and my friend’s faces in it. (Shall put it on Facebook).

Great capture! Title fits the expression completely! Congrats on your feature!

  • Thank you, Anneka! He just reminded me of a colourful version of Del Boy/a geezer down the pub selling dodgy gear. I wanted to put “Stereo” but then realised that no-one buys those any more :-P Decided to go a little more modern without breaching any copyright :-P
