They let you walk inside the aviary with Splendid Starlings as well as Storks and other awesome birds… first time in there for me! Yay! Somehow I managed to make the “roof” (netting) disappear (or at least fade and change colour!) for this photograph. Took a few attempts. Double yay! :-)

Terrific capture .. love that puffed up plumage ~ great when they allow you to go inside as so hard to get shots through fencing isn’t it!
Thank you, Susie! I was so happy to find this place and weather permitting I shall try again on Monday… want to get a better photo of the storks in there :-) Yes, it is hard to get the fencing out of the image, unless the lighting is right or it’s safe to get that little closer. :-)
