You do not have to give me the full name or latin name etc, a common name will do.

This is shot with a Canon 400d with a 75-300mm lens. This was on infinity setting. The image is “as is”.

I might not answer straight away as it is late and sleep calls :-)

what is it, mystery, bird, feathers, puzzle

    Is it a Rüppell’s Griffon Vulture? Just a guess!……….lol
My first thought when I saw it was a bird of prey, something with a long body and I thought of a vulture. Couldn’t find one that looked the same, but when looked at your recent images, I see you have been to London Zoo, then checked what vultures they have there and lo and behold, “there it was”:

  • Great! :-)

Vulture is good enough and the fact that you thought vulture before you googled/wiki’d it, is brilliant… yes it is a griffon vulture and I shall upload “proper” photos of them in the next couple of days :-D
