Crème de la Crêpe (STATOU: David McMahon) by

Saw this in Covent Garden and smiled at the name then thought of the Master of Punnage, Mr David McMahon

Not the best quality, I’ve not been having much luck with any cameras recently… took most pictures on a number of different settings and still got several not much better than this… However, STATOU is not about technical greatness! :-) (and I shall haul myself out of bed back on the 1st Tube into London and try again in the future!)

Covent Garden, London, England. 4th August 2010.

Canon 400d 18-55mm lens.

I use no post processing of any kind, unless stated.

Featured in Theme Thursday this fortnight is JOHN VELOCCI – He has curated the TTFF-@ folder on my profile and has been highlighted in the TTFF group. Yay, John! :-)

  • Thanks Cee!! Don’t worry, pretty much the WHOLE of Covent Garden was a STATOU for you! Sooooo many which ways! Have not yet decided which one or 2 to dedicate to you! :-)

well, I find it quite attractive for the most part. improvements will make it only better!

  • Thanks Phil! Coming from you that is HIGH praise! There is blurring that even Picnik cannot fix… besides I would rather go there and just “try again”… I am not sure why I can’t take an excellent picture at the moment, everything is either blurry or grainy on the whole… I can’t blame the camera as I have 3 ;-)

Great title, Ellis. Despite my many working trips to London I never visited Covent Garden. The Wimbledon fortnight was just too intense to allow me time to sightsee … must make amends. Thanks for the Tatou!

  • It’s very worth visiting even once! This trip was at stupid o’clock in the morning so I guess you could go there 2 or 3 times… before everything opens so you can get empty shops and walkways and bare market stalls… late morning or early afternoon so you can get the shoppers in full swing and the street performers and then again in the early evening when different types of people are there and you can watch the string quartets playing to the diners… :-D

This looks like a great place.

  • I might go and check it out one day… although I’d be struggling not to make reference to how the IHOP is better and 10 times cheaper ;-)
