OK… it was sub zero Celcius… it was about -2 which is about as cold as I had known it… ironically the day I left it dropped to -16 but I was toasty in JFK… (yes I have known it MUCH colder since then!!)
Well… sunset on the Empire State Building… the time before had been really hot, hazy with a grey sky…
This was my 2nd trip to NYC, I was between jobs (in a literal sense, I made sure I had a week and a bit in between so I could go travelling) so I took myself off to NY. Just as well I did as I met a great friend out there… not that I knew it at the time..!! To think that since then she has stayed in my home a couple of times in London AND I have seen her in her home town in Australia… I guess we have to meet in the other continents? Anyway, this image was made possible thanks to my hostel room mate who had never been to NYC before and convinced me that it WOULD be awesome to go back up the ESB despite the fact that I had “been there done that”… now I want to go back to the top, seeing as I have better cameras :-)

Great shot, I love how there is still a bit of sunlight on the top floors, while the street level is well and truly in ‘evening mode’
I never looked at it that way! Thanks Themis! :-)
Not bad for 2mp, right?! :-P
