Woolworth's Building New York by

This made me smile because of the store called Woolworths in the UK (and weirdly in Trier in Germany when I spent a few hours there before) and the supermarket/grocery store in Australia… sadly the UK store went out of business in December 2008… and people still say “where can I get this or that” and the answer is still “Woolworths” until we remember.

Of course, I digress.

This was my 2nd trip to NYC, I was between jobs (in a literal sense, I made sure I had a week and a bit in between so I could go travelling) so I took myself off to NY.

I knew it was January so cold, I knew that there had been big snow problems before I got there. I had never experienced REALLY cold weather so stocked up on warm clothes and… it was mild. With blue skies. Still, it meant that I got this photograph which I am more or less happy with, bearing in mind the camera was just a little 2.0 megapixel point and shoot (which was GREAT at the time….)

New York, New York, USA. January 2004.

Fuji FinePix 2600 Zoom.

I use no post processing of any kind, unless stated.
