This bird was on one of the beaches of Sentosa Island and not believing his luck that it was more or less empty as there had been a thunderstorm and the threat of a monsoon. He was a little curious about the mad English person who was ignoring the rain and embracing the relative solitude with their telephoto lens.

These birds are one of my favourite things about visiting Singapore! :-)

Sentosa, Singapore. November 2009.

Canon 400d 75-300mm lens.

I use no post-processing of any kind, unless stated.

Now for a movement from Max Bruch’s Serenade in A Minor… the true meaning of the Malay and Indonesian word Sentosa.

Thankyou! SOLD as a greetings card on 13th February 2010 to BubbleHex08

Another one not keen to be photographed :-) good catch though

  • Hehe… he was OK he just thought I was weird I think and thunder was threatening… not to mention his home has been changed pretty much beyond recognition…. I think it is the yellow around his eyes that makes him look madder ;-)

Nah, I think it’s the hunched ‘shoulders’ and the ‘hair’ standing up :-) and that head turn that I’m associating with ‘WHAT?!’ :-)
    Thanks for the links!!

  • LOL… not to mention the down turned beak ;-)
