It seemed really fitting that the last of “Thom’s Photos” would be the door of his final place. After he was taken too soon at a too young age, his memories will be forever held inside this building.
Two years after his passing, I was able to get to Sweden and get some closure on his passing… something one cannot do when suddenly they are just not on messaging anymore or no longer texting you. While I knew it was true, and have made many friends through the mutual bond of his friendship, this helped.
He loved doors. All sorts of doors. He photographed them constantly.
While this is part of the building’s facade, with the lamps deliberatly framing this, the focus, for me at least, is the door. Apt that it is closed, showing the closure that I needed.
