I left the tourist building at North Cape and headed a little further, just in time to see these reindeer going for a stroll. Even with my telephoto lens, this is the closest I could get, however, I think it is cool enough to post on RedBubble.
Seeing reindeer on the street, certainly above the Arctic Circle, is a common occurrence in Norway, in fact by the end of my trip I was pretty blasé about it all, realising that the coach came to a really abrupt stop most likely because there was a reindeer on the road… I somehow think though that if I do ever venture that far North again that it will probably be awesome again… at least for the 1st week :-P I would have been surprised to have NOT seen them up in the wilderness in Nordkapp, but they seem to know to keep their distance from the visitors centre.
