Maybe. This is one non-negotiable image-for-canvas once I get the wall space.
I was looking since I joined Redbubble through all my hard drive, every conceivable “400d downloads” folder and could not find it anywhere.
The reason? I used my point and shoot camera…
If you come to Svolvær, the closest main town to Lofoten Cathedral (Vågan Church), please be aware that this is actually in Kabelvåg. A bus runs a few times a day (yes, a day, not an hour!) here though and stops outside. Ask the driver for the cathedral though, as a mountain/hill obscures this from your view until you are Right There.
Built in 1898, though holding artefacts from earlier 19th Century, this stands proud in the Arctic Archepelago of the Lofoten Islands in North Norway.
A gorgeously scenic bus journey from Narvik, changing at Harstad airport or a lovely trip by ferry from Bodø will take you to Svolvær and a trip to this cathedral, is an essential part of your trip! Get off here and walk the final couple of kms to the town centre and harbours of Kabelvåg and why not go that little further around to the Aquarium?
Lofoten Cathedral, Kabelvåg, Lofoten, North Norway.
