This was taken in a field somewhere outside Skellefteå in North Sweden. The sun was going down and I saw this. I was so lucky to be able to capture it.
The camera though, while fantastic at the time, was in fact just 2.0 megapixels…
While I do not like to post process photographs at all, at the time of taking this, I was also experimenting with Paint Shop Pro. Therefore, I know that I did something to this. The likelihood is that it was a simple crop (based on the fact that it is not large enough for sale on here, despite the fact that another from the same camera was), or possibly a resize. I would then imagine I played with something else… it would have been for the whole image though, I do not have the patience for selective enhancing… I think that it would have been something to do with the contrast or balance or whatever… seriously I understand it even less now than I did when I was interested in it.
I do know though that there was no more than the above processing that was done. If I ever find the original photograph amongst all my CDs, I shall be able to upload it to compare. Assuming I still have the original.
Fuji FinePix 2600zoom.

You’re right to be proud of this lovely shot. I think there is a trees group somewhere in Red Bubble – may pay you to take a look if you haven’t already.
Thankyou. There was a trees group, but I thought that this would fit better in the group for rays of sun… At least I just joined some groups and I shall take it from there, I only signed up to the site this morning and slept all day afterwards :-P

Gorgeous, absolutely stunning. I must fave this one. I cant blame you at all for being so proud of this one.
Thankyou so much!!! :-D I sometimes laugh at the fact that I found a 2.0mp camera so stunning at the time, then look at some of the photographs, including this one and stop laughing :-P Who needs 12.0mp?! :-P

Encore….Encore….lets see some more……I used to have a little point and shoot Kodak EasyShare, and it was so fantastic at Macros….I really have trouble with them with my canon
You know what, I just started using my Canon IXUS 40 as it has the same batteries that I shall need for the IXUS 120is (ok ok it’s 12.0mp hehe) that I am picking up on my way home as soon as the shop opens…. and I really do love it! The Fuji is past its sell by date in so many ways, not least that I hate using AA batteries, rechargeable or not, in cameras, much prefer Lithium… plus of course the fact that the memory cards are obselete… but the 40 continues to be awesome. I only upgraded to the 850is because I misplaced the 40… to be fair though I find nothing easier than the Canons and as yet have never had a problem with the macros… once I figured out the settings :-P
