Introducing leggings. You’ll never run out of inspiration.

Guessed by Robin King this is indeed the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. I wanted to do a mystery image game with it before I uploaded other photos from my most recent US trip.

Security is high as anything if you go and look at the bell, so if you are shopping in Philly, go to the bell first. Luckily I had a receipt for my goods so the woman at the desk did not have to unwrap every single item in my bags :-P

Philadelphia, PA, USA. 20th March 2013.

Canon 400d 75-300mm lens.

As is, straight from camera.

    Oh, super!
Is it the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, PA?
I didn’t search for it so I’m not positive. But it looks like it might be.
    LOVELY glow; wonderful light!
    :)

  • Perfect! You got it in one… and even better for not Googling ;-)

I went around the back of it, most people looked at it with the window behind it and I thought why, when I can stand with the light behind me, teehee.

Extra kudos for not Googling ;-)

    YAY!!
(I live in PA so I’m sort of familiar with it)

That was a great strategy you used to shoot it…worked great!!!

  • Thanks! :-) My friend took me in here, I am glad it was free though, I would probably have been disappointed if I had to pay. Then again my friend and I just sort of wanted to go home at this point and the car was still in NJ so we had some commuter avoidance to do also. :-P I may put a couple of the other photos up of the bell, although this will more likely be on my Facebook page :-)

Oh…I’d visit them on FB but I don’t have an active account there anymore. I just couldn’t keep up with it!
    :)

  • I’ll send you a link to the photos when I get around to putting them up. The joy of having things on a page, rather than a profile, is that it’s public, no account needed (unless you want to say something of course) :-P We’ll see anyway, I have more pressing things to do/think about than uploading too much. :-)

Very interesting to see so much detail! A lovely capture! When I was there I was forced to take photos from this side because wave after wave of “class trips” kept arriving and we were forced to retreat to the far side.. Wish I’d have thought of a super close up like this because all my shots are full of kids! lol

  • Thanks Jade :-) Ugh, no class trips for me, thank goodness, although tourist trips are somewhat MORE annoying for me… possibly because aside from seeing certain cool things like this that you must see at least once, I try to be as least touristy as possible :-P You’re right though that it’s not great to have waves and waves of kids and the teachers don’t seem to care about the other people there… that they’re not all from Philly and some have traveled halfway around the world ;-)
