Features and freezing fingers....

So features are done in my groups up to the letter P…. that’s up to Pigeons and Doves…. I have featured and forumed and that is it for now… was going to go back and congratulate once I had featured Streetscapes, Touring Art and Wessex…

However my fingers are so cold I can barely feel the tips and the knuckles just feel like ice cubes… so it’s off the computer and onto doing something that actually requires movement. In fact I have work to do which is why I took this time off work ;-) So… yes I shall do that, might have my dinner which will have to be warm, maybe put on the heating for a while (although the rest of me is not cold!) or some gloves (yes indoors!) One thing I shall not be doing is finishing the features for now.

I don’t li…

The road to whatever is whatever

So I was going to do some features today. The day was going very slowly and I was already tired when I sat down at the computer at 3.

Thanks in part to a very slow computer (I think a clearing out of the internal hard drive is in order!!) and thanks in part to having to give my cat a shower… something that did not go down TOO badly but which took time however I am still here, about to log off in fact… need to go and get my stuff ready for the morning as up at 420 again.

On the positive side, I am feeling a LOT better in myself, the flu like bug that I had has pretty much gone, I am even leaving the flat voluntarily again AND walking to trams and buses rather than going to the sanctuary of the underground at the earliest possibility.

I guess I just need to sort out the computer…

Layers/iPhone cases

Hi

Does anyone else use “splashup” for layers? I am trying to make an iPhone case and I have got as far as add layer… then can’t put images together…. I feel like the dumbest person on the planet so if anyone can explain the mysteries of layering in truly layperson terms as someone who can’t grasp the most simple of editing techniques on anything more advanced than picnik, please help :-P

Thanks!

3rd sale this month!!! :-D

Thank you to the anonymous buyer who bought a card of Timisoara in Western Romania yesterday!

Thank you to the 2nd person to buy a copy of the “Otter Birthday Card” and thanks again, although you had a journal all to yourself already to the person who bought a Large copy of that.

For all the talk about sales increasing as a result of the new layout, I guess I can hardly argue :-P

Au sujet de sales, I went to Zazzle today and looked at my Meerkat Speakers but today found that they now sell iPad covers… so for any of you with a love of London and a desire to show off your iPad while keeping it clean and safe, you could do worse than check out my iPad cover from the “I got my Eye on London” range…

A group for your pigeons and doves

Much as I did with “Otters and Meerkats” I created a group for specific types of creature…. this time it was was about the Pigeons and Doves…

The banner is “clickable” and will take you to the group overview page :-D

Published! (Sort of....)

So, one of my photographs has been printed and sent out to the general public in the form of the South West Trains Customer Focus Newsletter The link is a PDF but there are hard copies around the South West of England :-P I made sure I picked up a few, although of course, my photo has a crease through it, lol.

Anyway mine is of the gentleman watching the CCTV in the Security Improvements section. I took more but this was the only one which really came out in the short notice and poor lighting conditions.

It was taken with my Canon IXUS 850is… the 2nd one, not the 1st one which took the outstanding photos… no flash. Work has been done on it, which is why I said “sort of”… I know that they had to make a couple of changes in Photoshop. That said, it still looks …

Disappointment in Tallinn but made some lemonade...

So, as some of you know, the reason for my Baltics trip was to see Roxette… Today’s features in Theme Thursday Feature Friday were based all on songs and emotions around that band…

However tonight’s concert in Tallinn was cancelled. Had I known, I would PROBABLY have gone out to the town today with my camera, incl. the dSLR and seen some sights. As it was, I stayed local, which is fine… but with the snow and ice, there was not a great deal to photograph.

It’s been a nice relaxing day, up until the moment I got to the arena and saw that news… ah well, a nice ride on a trolley bus and only 1,6€ each way… cheaper than London Buses, right? Yes, I would have gone out and taken the camera but I didn’t know and nothing can be changed and I tr…
