I find this to be an extremely strong and compelling image with its marvellous minimalism of black shadow, strong contrasting horizontal lines of light and the receding steps with their litle off-set at the top. Nicely composed.

This would be one heckuva talking point if it were printed as big as you can and hung on a loungroom wall.

Really an exceptional job of lighting, or handling the lighting. These stairs appear light someting described in a detective pulp fiction story from the 50’s and 60’s. The geometry is sharp, distinct, and leading the viewer—I really love how many of your images really lead the viewer out of the box. Always nice to ponder on your photos. Best regards!
