from Ellen – I have never had ferrets….are they easy to keep?

Ferrets are less work than a dog but more work than a rabbit or guinea pig. They sleep up to 20 hours a day so can be happily kept in a cage with only a few hours out to play and run about morning and night. I don’t think they should be kept outside, they need human contact and just a joy to watch them play and interact with other pets in the house. They can be taught tricks and can walk on a lead and come when they are called, they are smarter than dogs.

A wonderful pose, so cute. For the moment, I will do with my dog, even if she don’t play flute, but may be later on…!
