He was so beautiful Ellen…so sorry to hear that he passed away as well (I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet). I just love your work, and I hope you’ll be getting more of these beautiful little guys to love and photograph very soon.

You know I’ve frequently looked at your pix, but I don’t think I’ve commented before (and I really don’t know why)........but I absolutely love your rats. They are so cute and obviously they get a lot of attention because they are so interactive. Wonderful job again Ellen. You are definitely a champion of a much maligned, but really delightful little species of animal.

Ellen, have you ever thought of working with ferrets, they have all the cuteness of rats and personality plus. They are still small enough to pose in delicate and characteristic ways but have so much intelligence (and they live longer too). They are difficult to keep still though. My partner has been an avid photographer for 2 years now and apart from one solitary shot of Farken the ferret we hold very dear, we still strive to get the quality of work that you have achieved. Your photography is one in a million, very very precious indeed.

Very very clever put together here, tells its story and is captivating.

Ellen, I didn’t even know that rats yawned! You are a wonder! Always a source of something whimsical and wonderful. Thank you for sharing your world with us; I’m enriched because of it!
