Up…up… up…up…this high up
Clouds come thick and lumpy like porridge
Every now and then the sky opens up to reveal a puzzle piece of land
Rural areas all blocks of yellow, brown and green
Winding rivers and barbed-wire fences form snakes and ladders below
As we near the airport
All the things get more structural and complex
Lights frantically flicker where shapes and colours move like game pieces And I…
I start to dread the monopoly I know I am to return to below.

This is very eerie, like reading in a mirror. I write on planes too because i dread and sometimes loathe and dread the monopoly i’m about to land on , especially some monopolies in some metropolis, and i write about that.

  • you hope the plane will fly off to some mystical land of hope at times lol :)
