Life without a Map.

Another journeys end
life without a map
picking up crusts
and fairy dust

Surprised I got this far
what do I have to show
well, I’m still standing
I’m still standing

Into the unknown
afraid of the dark
following the stars
following the stars

Never thought I’d be alone
no-one to hold my hand
insignificant
footprints in the sand

Stepping not stopping
bumping into lampshades
and toads… Mud!
Isn’t that half the fun?

No conveyor belt for me
just the roots of a tree
the moss, the leaves,
the rocks and the sea.

Love it. Your work has a certain innocence- like a child who saw something so terrible.
The last stanza finishes it off perfectly.
    Elle, of course I care.
I’m always here to hold your hand, mate.
