Sadly Arthur had to be PTS a few months ago. He was rescued by my retired neighbour and I remember when he came to tell me the sad news, the poor man had to fight back his tears. Arthur went a bit mad and one day he was just sat on this post outside my neighbours house for pretty much the whole day, or would lie lazily in the middle of the road. Also my neighbour has probably the best front garden in our street, carefully tended to all seasons, a bright colourful bloom of flowers to admire in the Summer. This was my Xmas present for my neighbour, who watches out for my children, takes in my deliveries when am I out, and is just a very kind and caring man. Its not the same seeing Arthur mooching around the street. But for me I will always remember him sat on this post.
