Tribe & Diatribe
In this work I have contrasted two traditions:
– the old Scottish tribal tradition … with an essentially filial (family) foundation, and
– the paintings background… the modernist minimalist tradition of De Stijl… an essentially intellectualist tradition founded more in diatribe.
