Much liberty taken with a photograph of the Kamakura Daibutsu statue of Amida Buddha (Kamakura, Japan) taken by my husband in 2004. I removed the background and added several texture layers from Skeletalmess on Flickr and Urban Dirty. Created for the Double Grunge Challenge in Grunge It Up group, Sept.3, 2011.

Being in my 60’s, I am a latecomer to photography. Yet I have found great satisfaction and pleasure in creating digital art from my photographs. Taking pictures was a hobby until surgery in 2001 left me disabled and gave me the opportunity to learn about digital art and photographic software. I’ve been selling my work online and through local galleries since 2009.
