My parents. There must have been times when those smiles appeared after the kids came along, but I don’t remember ever seeing them. This picture just knocked me over to see them looking so happy and in love! Life can be very hard, but at least those memories exist in our hearts. What a gift it is to find this photo!

vintage, old, family photos, ellcot, grunge, texture

Being in my 60’s, I am a latecomer to photography. Yet I have found great satisfaction and pleasure in creating digital art from my photographs. Taking pictures was a hobby until surgery in 2001 left me disabled and gave me the opportunity to learn about digital art and photographic software. I’ve been selling my work online and through local galleries since 2009.

:-) I am going through old photos too! Yes, it’s hard to imagine some of their early feelings.
Glad we have fotos that captured them…and it’s up to us to continue that!

i can relate so well. i saw photos a few years back of my parents early in their marriage..they were so attractive and happy and i didnt know those people. i just knew the miserable bitter people that they became. understnad the feeling.

Oh wow….what wonderful old images you are finding….It’s sad that you don’t really remember them smiling….but I’m glad that you at least get to see the smiles on their faces here…xo
