Marjorie 1946 by Ellen Cotton
Clear

I found some old negatives and photographs from my father’s home and I’m scanning them for a memorial album. This is my mom when she was pregnant with my brother in 1946. I’d never seen this picture of her.

(They’ll be a few more that I’ll be uploading for family members. Please bear witih me.)

Being in my 60’s, I am a latecomer to photography. Yet I have found great satisfaction and pleasure in creating digital art from my photographs. Taking pictures was a hobby until surgery in 2001 left me disabled and gave me the opportunity to learn about digital art and photographic software. I’ve been selling my work online and through local galleries since 2009.
