Our favorite pizza place in the old Niles district of Fremont, California is called Bronco Billy’s. The place is very popular with local residents (the pizza is great and they don’t use dairy or additives in the crust (I asked – just flour, water, and olive oil. My son is allergic to dairy and I’m lactose intolerant, so we always order “no cheese”!.) I love the retro decor and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
I added an “old wallpaper” texture from SkeletalMess on Flickr to enhance the retro feel.

Being in my 60’s, I am a latecomer to photography. Yet I have found great satisfaction and pleasure in creating digital art from my photographs. Taking pictures was a hobby until surgery in 2001 left me disabled and gave me the opportunity to learn about digital art and photographic software. I’ve been selling my work online and through local galleries since 2009.

No cheese?? How about extra pepperoni then?? This is an amazing shot Ellen- the tones and detail, the reflection…your composition- I love this!!
Thanks SO much, Rosie!!!! I was almost afraid to upload this because I thought maybe only I would see anything in it (hard to have perspective sometimes). I am really happy you like it!!! Yes, it is really difficult to find food without dairy in it – especially in restaurants. Alex was so happy when we found this place and he could have pizza again!! (And yes, lots of extra meat and trimmings LOL!)

I love this place. I used to lead British car drives from San Jose, over Mt. Hamilton (with a stop at Lick Observatory), down the back way through Livermore and end up in Niles. We always stopped at Bronco Billy’s at the end of the drive. Good pizza, good beer. Cool pic.
You can see some of my pics from a drive, including one at Bronco Billy’s here:
I’m the one in the red shirt.
Oh how cool, Bob!!! Isn’t Niles a wonderful place?! Maybe we should get a commission from BB’s lol! My husband is a British car freak (he used to restore old Rovers), so I’ll show him your link! Didn’t realize we are practically neighbors!
