Near where I live in Fremont, California, there is a beautiful little park that I like to go walking in. It is hilly and surrounded by the bigger hills of the Calaveras range that borders the east side of the city. When we moved here 12 years ago, most of this area was undeveloped. Now, the view is obstructed on all sides by homes and hundreds of these powergrids. This day in March there was a storm approaching and it was near dusk, so the sky had that wonderful dark/light contrast. I gave up trying to find a point of view without the overwhelming signs of mankind and focused on the powergrids. If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.
