My husband took this image while in Japan about 7 years ago. I used one of my own images for the sky, desaturated, adjusted contrast and added texture to the structures to bring out the details.

Being in my 60’s, I am a latecomer to photography. Yet I have found great satisfaction and pleasure in creating digital art from my photographs. Taking pictures was a hobby until surgery in 2001 left me disabled and gave me the opportunity to learn about digital art and photographic software. I’ve been selling my work online and through local galleries since 2009.

Lovely outcome, E! I love that ornate tops to the roof… Is that a face I see at the right top? (of the roof)
Thanks so much, M! I’ve always liked this one. These are part of a temple – the face is of a deity that I’ve seen many times but I couldn’t tell you the name (it looks part human part animal). It’s easier to see full size. Unfortunately, my husband can’t remember where the temple was, so it’s hard to find information!!
