This Temple greeted me on one of my walks around the hills in Rüdesheim.
The temple was built by Graf von Ostein as an added attraction in 1788.
During the Romantic period of the 19th century, the temple became the focus point of several great intellectuals of that time. Visitors included (amongst others) von Brentano, Beethoven and Goethe
Well this time I visited and what a wonderful vista, looking down to the valley and the magnificent Rhine river.
