You’d be excused for thinking this might be an image typical from Melbourne’s Winter … but like a lot of Australia at the moment, nothing is ‘typical’ about the weather conditions! At time of writing, it’s the middle of January 2011, usually one of our hottest driest months and more often than not, on bush-fire alert! Yet, we’ve been experiencing a lot of wet humid weather, more akin to our northern states!! :-/
… it’s been a very strange Summer, Australia wide …

Strange, best not mention the cricket then! lovely shot, I love the way you have capture the girls’ reflections in the wet pavement. super stuff. Best wishes, Gary
What’s this thing called ‘cricket’?? … ;o) Kudos to the English cricketters, caught the Aussies ‘well out!’ of their line!! Serve’m right! :o)
Thanks so much my friend, particularly happy with how they’re stepping in time and, the reflection of striped shoes! :-D
The same subject ( umberellas ) can be seen in abundance here but the big difference is the clothing. Dressed like that you would feeze here. ( But snow gone happily ). Cheers.P.
Yeah P, short sleeves!! Giveaway hint as to season here, sort of! ;o) Thanks so much :o))
along with the story, Ell, good photo-journalism. Most excellent reflections, and nice choice of clothing for the model on the left (shoes and skirt).
Thanks so much Geof :o)) The flippy frilly flowing skirt caught the attention initially as she went by, stripey shoes a welcome ‘reflection’ bonus!! :-D
Nice Ell :)) Love the way the 2 girls are walking in sync, and like the way it all reflects on the pavement. :))
Thanks so much Di :o)) Got about four go’s at these two as they sauntered by, liked this one best for the ‘striped-shoe’ and GPO column reflections .. and of course the in-sinc! ;o))
