Not 100% sure this lady knew the camera was pointed directly at her (perhaps with the relatively tiny 50mm she might have thought I was shooting something else in her general direction?) but she was looking straight at me when this shot was taken! ;o)
Have been to St.Pauls Cathedral a few times now, but not quite this early in the day before … the light, directly overhead at the time, was utterly amazing in it’s difference to late afternoon!! :o))
Canon 50D, 50mm f1.8 Available light (late December, noon) Straight from camera, no post-ed
Ha she can see you alright….all eyes on you…hilarious title! Great shot….she’s like an angel…all white and glowing! You have added some great images Ell …you’re on a roll! Inspiring!:)
Ahhh MsKate, thank you so much! :o) Glad to inspire someone who’s work I greatly admire! :o)))
great shot Ell, she is looking at you alright…what happened after the shot?
Ahhh yes she is Shane, shame on me, not invisible enough! ;o) The lady turned her face away from me in the next shot I took, could have uploaded that image but this one was more truthful of what really happened :o) … a few minutes later, she moved from this pew
Nice one, Ell. She has an almost ghostly presence…. Like you were taking a photo of an empty pew and yet when you looked at the picture later, she was there!!
Thanks so much Vince :-D Yes, almost a ghostly appearance … the noon-day light was creating some spectacular ‘views’ and shadows for sure!! :o)))
Great Ell, yes it does happen. I am not how sure people are being photographed in church! Brave of you! Well done!
Thank you Jeff :o)) Well, I’ll never know/can’t be sure if she knew I was taking her photo because I used the relatively tiny 50mm … she’d have known for sure though if I’d used a telephoto ;o) She sat there a while though, with eyes closed, so am guessing the 50mm ‘fooled’ her ;o)

Great lighting Ell.
Thanks so much Deb :o) Lighting was rather special this day :o))
Great shot Ell. You had to be caught at some stage I guess. Happy New Year!
Thanks so much Jordan :o) Well, she definitely looked my way when I got this shot, but still not 100% sure she was aware the subsequent image was being taken of her … she sat there a while afterwards, with eyes closed, so if she knew for sure she would have told me off! ;o)) Happy New Year to you too my friend!! :o)))
