Appreciative by Ell-on-Wheels

I was walking in from Elisabeth Street (far end of this image) into this little side arcade adjoining The Royal Arcade, when I happened to notice this young lady quickly scuttle up to and poke her head in through the doorway of a little cafe, which was closing … I walked past the young lady in the jacket and noticed the owner was about to clean the coffee machine … turned around to watch her order and receive the last coffee of the day, just in the nic of time … that’s the cafe owner’s hand through the door, handing her her coffee ;-)

Canon 50D, 50mm f1.8

Capturing people being people, and the finer details of four and two wheeled blingy classic automotives – two fave ‘topics’ of imagery :-))

Great shot Ell …and love the others too…the one of her walking away…well done!:)

  • Thanks very much Kate :o))
I like all three (flooring, reflections, tables et al) but this is my fave for the ‘disembodied’ hand appearing with the coffee and the recipient’s dainty fingers accepting it … so pleased to capture that detail! :o))

This makes a great series. Once again your b+w toning is signature Ell :)

  • Thank you so very much James :o))
I’ve managed to organise the Canon’s Mono setting to a tone-range I’m happy with, this means minimal (if any) post-ed adjustments afterwards in a currently time poor life! ;o))
