Keith Reesor’s That Quiet Earth.

…In That Quiet Earth
by Keith Reesor

I have to say that it turned out far beyond my expectations.
I really wanted a softer, more organic feel to my translation…..
I started with a series of studies. Just looking at images that might inspire me in the elements. I haven’t posted this part of the process, but hope to in a journal before this is posted in the gallery of the show.
For now I am showing the work as I progressed.
I hope you enjoy the journey along with me.
This piece is 15"x 20" on 140lb water color paper.
It is done in watercolor.

I am inspired by everything in life.
Nature, landscape, city life and more.
Over 25 years as a flight attendant has let me see life from every angle. On the road my camera and Mac are my constant companions. At home, it’s hard to find me with out a paint brush in hand.
No matter what, as long as I am creating I am content.
Thanks for viewing my work!!

Wow Elizabeth this is so creatively done …the more I look the more I see…you did a really good job here and I do love it so much……congrats on this translation!!!!:-)

  • YAY, Brigitte……it was so much fun to do. I was a bit worried as I haven’t used watercolor in a while. I was worried I would get it to muddy with all the content. But it turned out well. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE FAVE:)))) and awesome comment!!! hugs to you!!

LOVE IT Elizabeth!!! Love the underwater “orb” feeding or birthing the creatures swimming on the surface, all the while being watched by “the observers” swimming by!! So surreal!! Lobe the colors as well!! Magnificent!! :)

  • Oh……THANKS SO MUCH KEITH…..thanks for asking if I might do this translation. What an honor it was to be asked. I was a bit worried at first as I didn’t know what my take on it would be, but when I started the process of thinking how I would do it, it came clear almost with in the first few hours of playing around with it. I think it was good that I didn’t get to paint until this week, because I do a better job when I take time to paint it in my head for a while…..and dream about the process which I certainly did. My husband saw your piece as a crab before he even knew what I was doing with my translation. So it’s funny that even with the hard edges of what seems to be metal, if you blink your eyes it comes to life. I am so glad that it worked out the way I had envisioned!!! THANKS AGAIN FOR THE OPPORTUNITY!!
