I am always amazed at how everyone in New York City is in plain sight, but yet they really don’t want to see each other. They keep their eyes averted looking straight ahead. Cool and impersonal. Yet when you stop them and they realize that you are only looking for directions or a recommendation as to where to eat, they light up ready to help. It is a strange place New York City…….I feel like people love that there are so many places to hide.
This is a merge of several photos taken on my last trip to New York City, 32nd and 7th, a corner room with a view on the 16th floor. How lucky could I get. The second image was taken from my hotel room in Boston. Most of it still feels like NYC to me….but no matter what city it is there are so many places to hide. I can never get enough of wondering what’s behind all those windows.
