I took this photo of our wonderful yellow fields surrounding the areas of Sacramento early May this year. They were breath taking. I didn’t have a lot of time to find the perfect shot, but I had hoped that what I took would work for a painting. In the mean time I had started a painting that wasn’t working quite yet. Mixing the two made me think that I might try this in oil as I get a bit more brave with my new skills. But for now. I found that this image layered and worked on with filters seemed to blend nicely with the part of my painting that I DID like.
A nice little twist……thank you for viewing “Sun Drenched Fields”

Wow, Elizabeth, I cannot describe how much I love this. Just sensational combination of abstract and reality. I could favorite this 100 times and it would not be enough.

  • Awwwww, now you made my day!!! That is such a wonderful compliment!!…….I really was a bit unsure about this, so I took a while to post it and did a lot of tweaking, which was good, but I really liked how it came out. THANK YOU SO MUCH FRANNIE!!
