Created with my own images, a blending of 2 main shots and textures worked in PSE.

There is something about her,
Hopefully you all can tell me what it is and why I love this image of “That Girl”
I would guess you can tell that I love editing. This was an image taken last fall in Seattle, WA. The light was fading, but there was still enough to get the shot.
I started with simple filters such as Paint daubs and watercolor. I like to use both and then gaussian blur and filter again, layering back and forth. I also pumped up the colors a bit with a vivid paint tool.
The magic how ever came with the texture. A wall of mosaic about 3 blocks away taken early this year added a wonderful effect. These two images seemed as if they were meant for eachother.
Thank you for taking a look at *That Girl

I am inspired by everything in life.
Nature, landscape, city life and more.
Over 25 years as a flight attendant has let me see life from every angle. On the road my camera and Mac are my constant companions. At home, it’s hard to find me with out a paint brush in hand.
No matter what, as long as I am creating I am content.
Thanks for viewing my work!!

She is walking along an otherwise colorful street – alone- with her white umbrella.. she is there and apart from what she walks through. That’s what I feel :-) Its a MOST beautiful image and work, Elizabeth. I love this…. the bricj feel is repeated in the textures across the trees in swirls- makes me feel the rain. Wonderful! xox

  • Maureen you are so sweet and I love your comment. I took this image from my wonderful window in Seattle…..I was just there with ISA!!! She was there for her son’s wedding and drove downtown to stay with me at the hotel. So she got to see my world from my wonderful hotel and it was so lovely to meet her in person.
This image was actually taken last fall, and I loved the lighting but because it was just a spontaneous capture, I didn’t have a tri-pod and it was blurred. But I made that work to my advantage here with my array of textures. The textures also an image from Seattle. So glad you like it. I kind of felt like that girl today, walking with Isa in the rain back to her car. I had my uniform on and my high heels……no white umbrella however.

Because it’s wonderfully evocative of that TV show you so cleverly named it after! Really lovely work here, Elizabeth sweetie :D

  • Thank you so so much sweet Colleen. I got to meet ISA yesterday in Seattle and she got to see where I took this photo last fall. What a fun overnight. We went to dinner and talked late into the night and got up this morning like little kids to walk around to take pictures. I will post a few SOON!!xxxxoooo

I love the oil painting feel of this…looks like a random reflections shooting, yes? :)

  • Michael, thanks so much for the comment, but nope…I love mixing images so that it has that look but no it is not a reflection. I took this from my window last fall up in Seattle. The textures mingled in are from a mosaic tile wall also in Seattle. I love how they blended together so nicely.

Fabulous work Elizabeth. Lovely colors, texture and feel…. feminine. I like how I can see the mannequin in the window too. Great capture of movement with ‘That Girl’.

  • Thank you so much Alissa……I was so thrilled to find a home for my texture image that I took not far from this shot. They worked so nicely together.
