Acrylic on canvas, blended with images in photo shop.

I took a photo of an ally window through a store front a while ago in Seattle. It reminded me of an old black and white movie. I could just feel the tension of wondering what or who was inside. The scene had a feeling of loneliness. As if the person living there might be a recluse. I can relate to that at times. I had been waiting for something that would work with this shot.
In the mean time, I did this acrylic painting. I was thinking of posting it, but the title wouldn’t come to me. I love the textures and colors but I had a strong feeling that it needed more.
The painting and my image of the window seemed like they were meant for each other.
But then it needed one more element.
The bird had been perched on the wire above my house. He almost seemed to be posing for me, looking in all directions. The sun was at a perfect angle to highlight his breast. I guess I needed his photo as well. I hope you like the blend and the mystery of the bird and window.

  • Oh, thank you so much……….I am so excited how this turned out!!! Do you think that the bird is to faded? I was thinking maybe…..but I think if he is to solid that would not look right……THANK YOU always for your wonderful feed back!:-)
